The Bull River Campground is located in the Cabinet Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest

It is situated where the Bull River runs into the Clark Fork River and the two rivers make up the Cabinet Gorge Reservoir. This campground is heavily forested with cedar and fir trees. 

The Cabinet Gorge Reservoir covers 3200 acres and provides a tour of the Noxon Rapids dam for those who would like to see it.

This campground is popular for all sorts of water recreation opportunities like fishing, boating, water skiing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking and swimming.

It is also popular as a take-off point for hiking in the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness.

 

 

 


About the Campsites:

 

Bull River Campground offers basic facilities including picnic tables, campfire rings with grates, accessible flush toilets and drinking water.

The fee for this campground is $10 per night - you get 50% discount with a Golden Age Passport or Interagency Senior Pass.

There are no hookups at this campground.

A host is available to answer questions and give information - they also have firewood for you to buy.

Campsites cannot be reserved - they are on a first come, first served basis.

You will find rv camping sites here, as well as tent sites.

 

 

 

About the Campground:

 

The Bull River Campground consists of 26 sites with 3 loops and is 2200 feet in elevation.  The recommended maximum trailer length is 40 feet. 

There is a nice boat launch and dock that is open all year.

Pets are allowed here, but must be kept on a leash.

You can reserve the group pavilion for $30 a day or overnight.

Fishing on the Bull River is for rainbow, brown and bull trout, large and small mouth bass, mountain whitefish, northern pike and kokanee salmon.

The campground is open from May to December and has a 14 day stay limit.
